There was great excitment last Saturday September 20th as Termonfeckin Celtic had its first 5K run through the village where 355 runners took part in what is hopefully going to be an annunal event on the running calendar for the football club. It was great to see and hear that so many had a brilliant time taking part in the inaugural TCFC 5K Run.

On Saturday, September 20th, 2025, Termonfeckin Celtic Football Club proudly hosted its inaugural TCFC 5K Run, an event that drew tremendous support from both the local community and participants beyond.
A total of 355 runners registered for the occasion, making the first edition of the run a resounding success. The route began at the TCFC Clubhouse, led participants through the heart of the village, and concluded back at the clubhouse grounds, where supporters and families gathered to cheer on the finishers.
The day was marked not only by strong participation but also by a warm sense of community spirit. The event could not have taken place without the invaluable contribution of the local volunteers, the dedicated support of The Ambulance Service, and the generosity of the sponsors who came on board to make the run possible.
A special word of appreciation is due to Stuart Farrell, TCFC Football Coach and Event Coordinator, whose commitment and organisational efforts ensured that the day ran smoothly from start to finish.
The success of the first-ever Termonfeckin Celtic 5K Run sets a strong foundation for what promises to become a much-anticipated annual event in the club and village calendar.
